ANANTNAG — Fifteen sheep were killed during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in a leopard attack in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Police sources said that a wild animal, believed to be a leopard, broke into a cow shed in Watnad, Nai Basti area of the district and killed fifteen sheep. The cowshed belongs to Ghulam Hassan Tantray.

A local informed that several domestic animals are still missing from the cow shed. They said that more than a dozen livestock have been killed by wild animals in past few months in the area.
