
SRINAGAR — J&K government has said that the first flight with over 160 students from Bangladesh is set to land in Srinagar later today.
Government officials said that 160 students will return from Bangladesh today in the afternoon and that they are expecting more flights with other stranded people next week.
Nearly 2800 stranded people arrived yesterday via Lakhanpur. “Over 3000 students, labourers, others from Punjab, Himachal, Chandigarh, Haryana, Uttrakhand are expected today,” sources said.
Sources said that the total number of returnees now are over 33,000. The government has also appreciated people for their patience and cooperation.
Jammu and Kashmir Union territory government’s official spokesperson, Rohit Kansal has also confirmed that first flight with over 160 students from Bangladesh is set to land in Srinagar later today.
