KULGAM — Police on Saturday recovered the automated teller machine (ATM) of the State Bank of India (SBI), which was stolen from south Kashmir’s Kulgam district during the intervening night of June 19 and 20.
Sources said that the ATM was recovered from a deserted area near Laroo village of the district. Sources added that money was missing from the ATM.
Apparently, the burglars had dismantled the ATM, taken out the money and abandoned it in the area, sources said.
A police official confirmed that the ATM was recovered on Saturday evening. He said that the unidentified burglars are still at large while police are searching for them.
