
SOPORE — Government forces on Tuesday evening launched a cordon-and-search operation at Nowpora village of Sopore in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports reaching here said that a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Nowpora village of Sopore in northern Kashmir.
Police sources said that operation was launched following the inputs about the movement of suspected militants. “All entry and exit points of the area have been sealed and door to door searches are going on,” sources said.
However, there were no immediate reports of any untoward incident. The search operation was going on till reports last came in.
