SRINAGAR — Police on Monday registered a formal case after a lady accused a doctor of molesting her inside his private clinic in Dooru area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Divulging the details, an official said that a lady (name withheld) approached Police Station Dooru with a complaint that accused doctor (Dermatologist) molested her in his clinic, while she had gone there to get her baby checked.
She stated that she went to a private clinic namely ‘Hamdania Clinic’ for the treatment of her child, when the doctor allegedly molested her.
Meanwhile, sources said that following the incident, according to the lady, she directly approached the police station with a formal complaint against the doctor.
The doctor in question, according to police sources, is presently posted at Rainawari hospital in Srinagar.
A senior police officer said that an FIR number 102/2020 under Section 509 has been registered in Police Station Dooru, adding that if the allegations against the doctor are found correct, he will be arrested without any delay.
