Government forces arrest duo during searches in Pulwama village

PULWAMA — Clashes erupted in Astan Mohalla, Hergam Karimabad, a village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district this evening after a team of government forces launched a cordon and search operation.

Police sources said that the village was brought under siege after inputs about the movement of militants.

Sources added that soldiers from 55RR and 183 Battalion CRPF launched search operation in the village. Youth hit the streets and clashed with the forces.

Local sources said that search operation ended with the arrest of two civilians.
