SRINAGAR — District Police Kulgam on Wednesday claimed to have arrested an associate of Lashkar militant namely Zubair Ahmed Ganai S/O Abdul Rehman Ganai R/O Subhanpora Kulgam and having recovered 12 rounds of AK ammunition, 3 mobile handsets and a Maruti vehicle bearing registration Number JK03B-0473.
While revealing details of the arrest, police sources said that as per preliminary investigation, the accused is involved in transporting of Lashkar militant operating in Kulgam district.
Sources added that the accused was providing shelter to militants of the banned organization LeT from last more than one year.
In this regard, a FIR under No. 03/2020 under sections 13, 18, 19, 20, 38, 39 of UAP Act and 7/27of IAA was registered at Police Station Qaimoh and further investigation is on.
