BUDGAM — A 35-year old man was critically injured after he jumped from a running train in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday evening.
Reports reaching here identified the injured as Abdul Rashid Beigh son of Abdul Gani Beigh of Wadwan Budgam.
Eyewitness said that Beigh jumped from a running train (74622) on Wednesday evening between Mazhama and Budgam railway station.
“He was immediately shifted to PHC Soibugh from where he was referred to SKIMS Bemina in a critical state,” an official said.
Railway official said that a halt station is being constructed at the spot where incident took place. However, the incident was due to the negligence of passengers who jumped out of the running train.
A police official also confirmed the incident and said that the injured is under treatment at SKIMS Soura.
