Pulwama: Goverment forces early morning on Monday launched a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in more than a dozen villages of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that Army’s 44RR, 55RR, 53RR, CRPF’s 182BN, 183BN and SOG Pulwama launched the massive search operation early in the morning.
The villages under CASO include Rahmoo, Bellow, Putrigam, Mitrigam, Frasipora, Goosu, Kuchepora, Murran, Thokerpora, Shangerpora, Chak, Mirgund, Zaigam, Kamrazipora, Hajin and Drabgam.
Local sources said that clashes broke out between government forces and youth in Murran village of the district. Forces retaliated with teargas shells to disperse the protestors.
Meanwhile, search operation was going on when this report was filed.
