SRINAGAR — Suspected militants on Monday evening fired upon a civilian at Chitragam Kalan area of Shopian.
The person has been identified as Sajad Ahmad Ganaie resident of Chitragam Kalan.
“He has been shifted to sub district hospital Zainapora,” locals said.
“He is close associate of National Conference leader and MLC Showkat Hussain Ganaie,” they said.
An official, while confirming the incident, said that the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
