Quinquagenarian dies during mishap in Bandipora

BANDIPORA — A 50-year-old man was killed in a road accident in Kuloosa area of northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday afternoon.

Officials said that a man, identified as Ghulam Mohammad Ganie son of Mukhtar Ganie, a resident of Kaloosa Bandipora, was seriously injured after being hit by a private Eco vehicle in Kuloosa area of the district.

However, he was immediately rushed to a nearby health center for treatment where from he was referred to the district hospital for the specialized treatment but succumbed to his injuries on the way.

A senior police officer also confirmed the incident and said police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case in this regard.
