Srinagar: Police on Friday released the father of Hiz-ul-Mujahideen operational commander Riyaz Naikoo after he was detained during a night raid on Wednesday.
A senior police official confirmed the release of Naikoo’s father, Asadullah Naikoo.
“We have released him after some questioning,” said an official.
Asadullah and five others were detained by the police during night raids in several areas of Awantipora on Wednesday.
