KUPWARA — In a significant development, security forces in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district have reported a major breakthrough against militant activities, resulting in the substantial recovery of ammunition and warlike stores.
Official sources informed that the operation was initiated based on specific information received from a reliable source.
A meticulous search and destroy operation was launched based on the provided input, leading to the recovery of nine UBGL shells, four IED receivers, 30 commercial-grade detonators still housed in their original factory packaging, 138 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, a loaded magazine of a sniper rifle with seven rounds, 24 blank rounds of AK-47, and four magazines of a 9mm pistol.
Sources stated that a case has been registered in this regard, and further investigations have been set into motion.
