Swami Vivekananda Excellence Award conferred on youth from Pulwama

PULWAMA — Naveed Hamid, a youth from Pulwama, has been conferred with Swami Vivekananda Excellence Award in Kolkata.

Naveed has received the award for his contribution in the field of research from Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi during a conference held at Amity University Kolkata.

Naveed, a resident of Prichoo village in Pulwama, is working with the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, New Delhi and is engaged in research activities related to agribusiness and value chain.

He has been awarded for his significant research contribution in the field of agribusiness / value chain for enhancement of profitability for small and marginal farmers of J&K state.

Earlier, the youth also received IARDO Young Fellow award 2019 during the International Award Conference on Research, Analyze, Communicate and Evaluate (RACE – 2019) held at KU, University Campus Bangkok, Thailand.

It is pertinent to mention that he has more than 55 publications, several national and international awards to his credit, including full length research papers, books, book chapters, research articles, abstracts, et cetera.
