Tral grenade blast leaves seven persons injured

TRAL — At least seven persons including a minor were injured after suspected militants hurled a grenade at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Naka party near a bus stand in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

CRPF sources said that a grenade was hurled by militants at the main bus stand in Tral, Pulwama which exploded in the air, causing minor injuries to seven civilians including a minor. The injured have been given first aid at a hospital.

Hospital sources identified the injured as six-year-old Muhammad Immaduddin of Satoora, 55-year-old Farooq Reshi of Tral, 35-year-old Ilyas Bhat and Haleema Bano (36), both residents of Dar Gansigund, 35-year-old Khurshida Banoo of Chankitar, 41-year-old Jalaluddin Bhat of Khrew and 45-year-old Bashir Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Tral town.

The area was cordoned off and a search was launched, however, no arrests were made.
