PULWAMA — The gun-wielding photographs of the two youth from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district went viral on social media. The duo had gone missing earlier this week and have ‘reportedly’ joined the militant ranks.

Suhail Ahmad Lone, son of Nisar Ahmad Lone, resident of Khrew and Shahid Ahmad Dar, son of Bashir Ahmad Dar of Samboora Pulwama went missing on February 5.

Suhail was earlier affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit and he had surrendered during a two-day-long encounter in 2019 in Zaintrag area of Khrew, Pampore. After remaining detained for about one-and-a-half year at Kotbhalwal Jammu and Karnal Haryana.

A police official said that the authenticity of the gun-wielding images, which has gone viral on social media, is being verified.

It may be in place to mention that families of both the youth have lodged a missing complaint at Police Station Pampore. The families have also appealed their missing kin to return without getting involved in any activity which could put them in trouble.
