SRINAGAR — Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the PIL challenging the Jammu and Kashmir government’s decision to partially close the highway for civilian traffic twice a week till May 31.
Sources told KNO that the apex court dismissed the PIL on Monday.
Government had ordered closure of highway for civilian vehicular movement twice a week i.e on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Later the order was modified and the closure was ordered for Sunday only.
In a recent order government said that Srinagar-Baramulla highway will not be the part of the Highway ban.
The ban on highway was ordered so that the forces convoy moves smoothly.
