IUST invites applications for the post of Lecturer (Contractual)

PULWAMA — The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, has issued an advertisement inviting online applications for the post of contractual lecturers in various subjects for the academic session 2015. The positions are to be filled at the Government Polytechnic, Pulwama, and the eligibility criteria vary according to the subject of specialization.

As per the notification, the university is seeking qualified candidates in the fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and English.

For engineering subjects, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech./B.E.) in the concerned branch with at least 55% marks or an equivalent GPA. Meanwhile, applicants for Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and English must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject.

The online application form is available on the official university websites: www.islamicuniversity.edu.in and www.iustlive.com. Applicants must submit the online form by February 12, 2015, while the hard copies of the completed forms, along with attested certificates and testimonials, must reach the office of the Registrar by February 13, 2015.

The university stated that candidates with qualifications such as NET, SLET, GATE, or any additional relevant qualifications will be given preference. The selected candidates are required to submit an affidavit affirming their commitment to serve for the entire academic session, which concludes in December 2015. However, candidates who secure permanent jobs will be permitted to leave before the end of the session.

The university has made it clear that salary will be paid as per the applicable norms for academic arrangements in other government polytechnics across Jammu and Kashmir.
