Srinagar: Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Department of Excise has issued a job advertisement notification, announcing J&K Excise Department Recruitment 2017 for 267 Posts.
The minimum qualification for this Class IV job recruitment is Matriculation (10th). Also, this is an Open Recruitment covering both the Divisions of Jammu & Kashmir (Jammu Division & Kashmir Division).
A total of 267 Class IV Posts for both the Divisions of J&K have been announced. Out of these, 91 Posts are for Kashmir Division, 163 Posts are for Jammu Division and 13 Posts are State Cadre Posts.
UPDATE (Mar 19, 2021): An official from J&K Excise Department’s Jammu office, while speaking to The Kashmir Pulse, said that he will get the details about the recruitment from the concerned staff and subsequently, will inform us.
UPDATE (Feb 20, 2018): “The digitization of application forms is in process. Since large number of applications have been received, it will take time. The digitization process was also halted a little due to Assembly session. Now, the process has resumed,” Sunil Bhagat, Programmer, J&K Excise Department told The Kashmir Pulse in an emailed response.
However, J&K Excise Department Recruitment 2017 for 267 Posts will be covered under the New Recruitment Policy 2015, where appointees will be paid only Basic Salary for first five years of service.
J&K Excise Department, therefore, invites applications in prescribed format from the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir for the following Posts.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants willing to apply for J&K Excise Department Recruitment 2017 for 267 Posts must fulfil the following eligibility conditions.
i) Domicile: Applicant should be a permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir and should apply for the posts for their respective Division only.
ii) Age Limit: Applicant should have attained the age of 18 years and maximum age should not exceed 40 years.
iii) Qualification: Minimum qualification to apply for these Class IV Posts is Matric (10th) while the maximum qualification is 10+2 (12th). Candidates with higher educational qualification can apply but they won’t be given any benefit for higher qualification.
