Once upon a time,
I saw my vicinity playing
When Autumn was falling in
The leaves were preparing themselves
For their destiny
Like, a bedridden struggling by a
Broken knee
The wave of happiness all around
And my chums busy in a playground.
In my heart an old sweet sound
Such a taste I can’t forget
Life itself was set!
No arrogance at that time
To an extent where Shamshad
Was feeling the clime
My neighbours were exchanging
Chapatis and simple dishes!
That early awake for catching fishes
The sweetness of ancient stories
Till the late night, beneath a single candle
No desperation at all!
The strange among us
