KU sets September 10 deadline for BG 1st Year exam forms

SRINAGAR — The University of Kashmir has issued a notification setting September 10, 2014, as the final date for the submission of examination forms and fees for the upcoming October 2014 session.

The announcement applies to all eligible backlog, failure, additional, and division improvement candidates in the first year of B.A, B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, BBA, MCMP, and Fazila programs. Furthermore, students who completed their graduation in 2010 or later and wish to improve their overall division or percentage are permitted to reappear in a maximum of three subjects across their first, second, or third years.

Candidates are instructed to download their examination forms from the university’s official website, www.kashmiruniversity.net, by entering their Registration Number. Required fees must be paid at any FINACLE branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank using the downloaded fee receipts.

The submission process depends on the verification status of the form:

• Forms marked as “NOT VERIFIED” must be submitted directly to the I Year Conduct Section, Examination Block, at the University Campus in Hazratbal, Srinagar.
• Forms marked as “VERIFIED” can be deposited at various designated Degree Colleges acting as IT Centres. These centers include Sri Pratap College, V.B. College, and multiple Government Degree Colleges in locations such as Baramulla, Anantnag, Kargil, Leh, Kupwara, and Pulwama.

The university has outlined a specific fee structure for applicants:

• Single Subject (excluding division improvement): Rs. 450 (includes Rs. 300 base fee, Rs. 100 EMF, and Rs. 50 heating/lighting/service charges).
• Multiple Subjects (excluding division improvement): Rs. 1150 (includes Rs. 1000 base fee, Rs. 100 EMF, and Rs. 50 service charges).
• Division Improvement: Rs. 1300 (includes Rs. 1000 base fee, Rs. 100 EMF, Rs. 50 service charges, and a Rs. 150 Degree Certificate fee).

The notification was officially dated August 26, 2014, and issued by the Deputy Controller of Examinations. Students are urged to complete the process before the cutoff date to ensure their participation in the October exams.
