KEI invites applications for undergraduate scholarships in professional courses

SRINAGAR — The Kashmir Education Initiative (KEI), a non-profit, non-political charitable educational organization, has announced the availability of undergraduate scholarships for students from Kashmir province who are enrolled in professional courses. The scholarship is aimed at supporting meritorious students from economically weaker sections.

According to a notification issued by the organization, the scholarship will provide an annual financial aid ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 for an initial period of one year. Selected students will also receive mentorship and career guidance as part of the program.

The scholarship is open to students in their first year of professional courses at institutions including Government Medical College, Government Dental College, SKIMS Medical College, University of Kashmir, Central University of Kashmir, SKUAST-K, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), and NIT Srinagar.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have scored more than 70% marks in both 10th and 12th classes.
• Only students in the first year of their undergraduate professional courses are eligible.
• The total annual household income of the applicant must not exceed ₹1,50,000.
• Students already receiving financial aid or scholarships from other sources, whether government or private, are not eligible.

Documents Required

• Duly filled application form attested by the HOD/Principal of the college.
• Copies of marks sheets of class 10 and 12.
• Admission slip or proof of current study in the professional course.
• Income certificate.
