JKBOSE Class 10th & Class 12th Bi-Annual Exams as per Revised Syllabus

Srinagar: J&K State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued notifications, revealing that candidates, who are going to appear in Class 10th (Bi-Annual) and Class 12th (Bi-Annual) examinations in 2018, will face Question Papers as per revised new syllabus.

“It is notified for the information of all the concerned students of Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) who have to appear in Bi-Annual Private Examination likely to be held in February 2018 in Kashmir Division / Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division including Ladakh region and Bi-Annual Private Examination of Summer Zone Jammu Division likely to be held in June 2018, that the Question Papers of Social Science and Additional Optional Home Science Subject for Physically Challenged students will be set from the Revised (New) Syllabi and Courses of Studies which are presently in vogue for Regular students,” reads a notification issued for Class 10th students.

Another similar notification issued by JKBOSE for Class 12th students reads, “It is notified for the information of all the concerned students of Higher Secondary (Part-II) Class 12th Examination who have to appear in Bi-Annual Private Examination likely to be held in February 2018 in Kashmir Division / Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division including Ladakh region and Bi-Annual Private Examination of Summer Zone Jammu Division likely to be held in June 2018, that the Question Papers (Old Course Syllabi) of Philosophy, Geology, Accountancy, Home Science (Elective), Human Development, Clothing for Family and Extension Education subjects will be set from the New Syllabi & Courses of Studies which are presently in vogue for Regular students.”

The move to do away with the old syllabi is aimed at conducting examinations in due course of time and to avoid any sort of delay caused by having two sets of syllabi to set Question Papers for Regular and Bi-Annual students of Class 10th and Class 12th.
