PULWAMA — Congress leader Umar Jan today filed his nomination papers for the ongoing District Development Council (DDC) polls.

The senior leader filed the nomination form for Kakapora block in presence of his supporters.

While talking to media persons, Umar Jan said that he is hopeful of emerging victorious with the support of people for the better development of Kakapora block.

While taking a dig at BJP, he said, “BJP has only brought in black laws to Jammu and Kashmir,” adding, “Regional parties also played their part to make the unconstitutional changes possible by sacrificing the interests of common people.”

Pertinently, PAGD, an amalgam of top mainstream leaders unanimously decided to contest the DDC polls in Jammu and Kashmir unitedly.
