PULWAMA — Two positive cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) surfaced in Drabgam village of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.

Block Medical Officer (BMO) Rajpora confirmed the two new positive cases in Drabgam village. “The positive patients have been isolated along with their family members and contact tracing is on,” he said.

He added, “Those people who have come in contact with the duo are also being identified and will be put in administrative quarantine.”

The couple is reported to have arrived home on 14 March after performing Umrah and were directed to be in home quarantine. “They are still asymptomatic,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention that the south Kashmir district has a total of seven cases of Coronavirus among which four are active cases while three patients have recovered.
