Pulwama: During a literary function at Town Hall Pulwama, two new books of renowned literary figure Hameed Ullah Hameed were released last Monday.
The function was organized by Kashmir International Society in collaboration with J&K Department of Information & Public Relations.
The two books released on the occasion were “Gulshan-e-Kashmir” and “Ladakh Kay Qous-e-Qaza”.
Chairman Kashmir International Society, Farooq Renzu Shah was the chief guest on the occasion. He hailed the role of Hameed Ullah Hameed and said that his works are a treasure that depict the reality and beauty of Kashmir.
Renzu Shah said that the author has struggled a lot in order to get these two books printed. He added that Kashmir is the place of saints and it is because of them that Islam arrived in Kashmir.
Besides Farooq Renzu Shah, others important persons who were present were Tariq Hameed Nadvi, Ayoub Javaid, Shazia Makhdoomi, Professor Hasrat Hussian, Rashid Sidiqui, Rashid Rasheed, Hamidullah Sambori, Mushtaq Kulgami who read excerpts from the two books of the author. They also lauded the efforts of Hameed Ullah for authoring the two books.
Other notable people from media fraternity who showed up at the event included Shah Irshad Ul Qadri and Gazi Khurshid.
Rasheed Rashid discharged the duties of host during the event and paid the vote of thanks to all the participants.
