Two injured as clashes erupt in Pulwama village

PULWAMA — Two people were injured as protesters clashed with government forces in Mitrigam village of Pulwama district on Sunday.

The clashes erupted in the area after government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Frestpora orchards near Rahmoo Pulwama where two militants were believed to be hiding.

Government forces later said that they recovered detonators, explosives and some logistic materials from the militants’ hideout.

Search for the militants was underway as protesters clashed with the government forces.
