Jammu & Kashmir State Board of School Education - JKBOSE

SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has allowed students who qualify in private or bi-annual examinations to appear in the succeeding annual regular examination, a move aimed at preventing interruptions in their academic progression.

JKBOSE Director Academics Dr Parveen Singh said the decision was intended to bridge discontinuity in students’ academic pursuits.

According to news agency KNO, the board issued a notification clarifying that students qualifying in the specified examinations would be eligible to appear in the next annual regular examination.

“Such students will be eligible to take annual examinations irrespective of any bar notified earlier,” the notification stated.

The board also directed the concerned schools to facilitate the admission of eligible students to the next class accordingly.

The notification amplifies an earlier notification issued in 2017 and aims to ensure that students qualifying through private or bi-annual examinations can continue their education without being held back by previously notified eligibility restrictions.
