BARAMULLA — Scores of unemployed & qualified youth from different districts of Kashmir today participated in Army recruitment rally held at Army 10 Sector Hyderbeigh Pattan during which different youth have been provisionally selected.

The rally is likely to continue at Hayderbeigh, Pattan till 16th July 2019 covering the districts of Bandipora, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag and Kulgam.

While briefing media persons at the rally site, Brigadier Jagdeep Dahiya, Deputy Director General Recruiting, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir, a total number of 5366 candidates from all parts of the Valley have registered for the event.

He said that the candidates are being screened for their physical fitness, medical examination and documentation. Successful candidates will then undergo written test on 28th July and 25th August 2019.

“Candidates selected will then be inducted into various services of the Army. This will go a long way in meeting the aspirations of the youth of the areas who wish to join the Army and serve the nation,” he said.

“The recruitment process is totally computerized and is absolutely transparent. Special emphasis is being laid to make all the candidates understand this process and thus they don’t fall prey to touts and undesirable elements,” Brigadier Jagdeep said.
