Assault on media personnel won’t be tolerated: SP Handwara

HANDWARA — Superintendent of Police Handwara, Dr GV Sandeep on Monday said that incidents like assault on media personnel won’t be tolerated and assured strict action against the involved.

A delegation of Handwara Media Association (HMA) met SP Handwara and discussed the matter with police officer and appealed him to make every Naka party aware that such incidents shouldn’t be repeated.

SDPO Handwara Tariq Mehmood was also present during the meeting.

It is pertinent to mention that online Editor of Kashmir News Service (KNS), Aatif Qayoom on March 26 was abused and assaulted by cops while he was returning home.
