Vehicle used in HMT attack recovered: Police

SRINAGAR — Police on Wednesday claimed to have recovered a Maruti 800 vehicle, which was used by the militants to carry out an attack on Army at HMT Srinagar last month in which two Army men were killed.

Sources said that a Maruti 800 car bearing registration number JK04A-6535 was recovered during a cordon-and-search operation in Mustafa-Abad area of HMT on the outskirts of Kashmir capital, Srinagar.

Vehicle was recovered after forces including Army’s 2RR and Police launched a joint search operation in the area.

Moreover, searches were on and no arrests were made when reports last came in.
