AWANTIPORA — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have arrested one militant associate of Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Police spokesman, in a statement issued here, said that he was involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the militants as well as in transporting arms, ammunition and explosive material of the militants in Tral and Awantipora areas.
Arrested militant associate has been identified as Faisal Hussain Ganie of Tral, police said, adding that incriminating material of Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind has been recovered from his possession.
Police added that a case under FIR number 107/2020 has been registered in Police Station Tral under relevant sections of law.
