23 travelers among 77 fresh COVID-19 cases in J&K

SRINAGAR — Twenty-three travelers were among 77 fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, taking the total count to 124234.

Among the fresh cases, 18 were from Jammu Division and 59 from Kashmir Valley, the officials said.

Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 23 cases, Baramulla 8, Budgam 4, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 1, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 7, Kulgam 2, Shopian 2, Jammu 16, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

Moreover, they said, 129 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—55 from Jammu Division and 74 from Kashmir Valley.

So far, 121253 have recovered while 1931 people have died due to the virus, leaving the number of active cases to 1050.

60-year-old woman falls victim to COVID-19, J&K toll 1931

Jammu and Kashmir reported one more death due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

The victim was a 60-year-old woman from Budibugh Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and her death took the fatality count to 1931—1212 in Valley and 719 in Jammu division.

Srinagar district with 454 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (370), Baramulla (174), Budgam (117), Kupwara (95), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (51), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (22), and Reasi (15).
