Srinagar: The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India has initiated settling the insurance claims in flood-related deaths in Kashmir. The LIC Tuesday reimbursed an insurance claim of Rs 408977 to the nominee of late Riyaz Ahmad Wani (police constable) of Sukhnag, Budgam. The payment cheque of the insurance claim was made by LIC’s Manager Sales, A U Alaie and J A Shah, Branch Manager Budgam, in presence of the Sarpanch and other prominent citizens of the area, officials said.
