Soldier killed in accidental fire in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector

JAMMU — A soldier died after he received bullet injury during a live firing session in Akhnoor sector of Jammu region.

Army sources said that a soldier was killed in an accidental fire during training.

They said that ‘Gunner’ Sayan Ghosh of Artillery Regiment suffered fatal injury due to a firing incident while carrying out live firing training at the field firing range (in Akhnoor Sector).

Sources added that two soldiers also suffered bullet injuries and are being treated in the hospital.
