Pulwama: Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted on Wednesday in south Kashmir’s Pulwama and Pampore areas against the civilian killings at Khudwani Kulgam.
Reports said that protesters resorted to stone pelting on forces in Pulwama and Pampore where forces retaliated by using force.
Students in various educational institutions also held protests against the Kulgam civilian killings. A same kind of protest was held at Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Awantipora, sources said.
Three civilians were killed by forces at Khuwdani where a gunfight is underway in Wani Mohalla.
Around 50 civilians have sustained injuries in government forces’ actions in the area of Kulgam district.
Soon after the gunfight started in south Kashmir, hundreds of protesters pelted rocks on forces to disrupt their operation and help hold up militants escape.
