
PULWAMA — Authorities have completely sealed Rahmoo village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, asking people to keep the market and other business units shut for at least ten days.
Over 23 Coronavirus cases have emerged in Rahmoo village. Also, an elderly person has already died due to COVID-19 infection in the village.
Sources said that a team led by Tehsildar Rajpora, Raqib Ahmed visited the village and seized three shops and two band-saw mills for violating lockdown norms.
On the directions of district administration, even banks and Khidmat Centres have also been shut in the village.
Local Tehsildar said that strict action will be initiated against the violators. “The village has already witnessed 23 COVID-19 cases and if we don’t take precautionary measures, the pandemic will spread. We have shut Rahmoo village for at least 10 days and people have been directed to stay indoors,” he said.
