Five youth arrested during raids in Pulwama village

PULWAMA — At least five youth were arrested during night raids by government forces from Ratnipora belt of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, sources said on Monday.

Local sources said that a joint team of forces entered Ratnipora and it’s adjacent villages on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday and raided several houses.

“They arrested at least five youth from the area,” they said.

They identified the arrested youth as Tariq Ahmad Rather from Kharbatpora, Parvaiz Ahmad Dar from Mohanvij, Asif Dar from Rakh Lajoora and Irshad Ahmad Reshi and Gh Nabi Sofi, both residents of Ratnipora Pulwama.

A police official while confirming their arrest said that they have been arrested for their involvement in stone pelting related incidents.
