Anantnag: A gunfight has reportedly erupted between militants and government forces in south Kashmir’s Arwani area in district Anantnag on Thursday evening.
Police said, “Exchange of fire was reported in Arwani area on Thursday evening.” Kashmir Police also tweeted about the encounter.

Reports said that youth took to streets and clashed with the forces as the news of gunfight spread in the area.
Cordon and Search Operation was launched in the area prior to the gunfight.
