Nine youth detained from two villages in Pulwama

Srinagar: Nine youth were detained during a night raid on Monday in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

As per the reports, government forces detained at least nine youth from the villages of Arigam and Arihal for their alleged involvement in stone pelting incidents in the district.

Seven of the detained have been identified as Showkat Ahmad Rather, Shakeel Ahmad Rather, Muzaffar Ahmad Wani, Tariq Ahmad Dar, Bilal Ahmad Ganie, Hilal Ahmad and Sabzar Ahmad Lone, all residents of Arigam, Pulwama.

Reports said that a posse of joint teams of government forces raided several residential houses during the night and arrested at least nine youth.

As per police reports, all detained youth have their role in stone pelting.

The detainees are being quizzed for their alleged role in various stone-pelting incidents. (With KNO Inputs)
