Search lights installed, searches underway in Pulwama village

PULWAMA — Joint Forces have installed lights at a village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district where search operation is underway.

Local sources said that Joint Forces including the soldiers from 53 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off Wani Mohalla area of Rahmoo village during late evening hours.

Sources said that CASO was launched after inputs about the presence of militants in the village. Forces installed lights while door-to-door searches were underway till the filing of this report.

Locals said that no contact with any militant has been established so far.
