Shuja-ul-Haq elected first president of Kashmir Press Club

SRINAGAR — Shuja-ul-Haq was on Monday elected as the first president of Kashmir Press Club (KPC).

In the maiden election of the journalists’ body, Moazam Muhammad Bhat, Ishfaq Ahmad Tantray and Farooq Javed were elected as Vice President, General Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

The poll results were declared today after day-long voting which preceded high voltage electioneering by the contestants.

Habib Naqash, Arshad Hussain Shah, Shafat Kira, Altaf Baba, Auqib Javeed and Gowhar Geelani were elected executive members of the KPC.
