Unemployed postgraduates asked to get registered in J&K

SRINAGAR — Labour and Employment Department, J&K has asked for data regarding unemployed postgraduate men and women in the State. In this connection, youth can register themselves at their respective District Employment & Counselling Centres.

The collection of data has been ‘desired by the worthy Chief Secretary, J&K in the CoS meeting held on 8th July, 2019’. Accordingly, the Assistant Directors of Employment in the districts have been directed to collect and compile the information.

This information is to be submitted to the Labour & Employment Department by or before July 22, 2019.

Acting on the directions, J&K Directorate of Employment has issued a notification in which it has asked the unemployed postgraduates to get themselves registered with the Department.

“Through the medium of this notice, unemployed postgraduate men and women of the State are requested to register themselves in the concerned District Employment & Counselling Center by 12.07.2019 (02:00 PM),” reads the notification.

This will ‘enable the Department to have a database of the unemployed postgraduate youth of the State’.
