KU invites applications for various positions in satellite campuses

SRINAGAR — The University of Kashmir has issued Brief Advertisement Notice No. II of 2015, inviting applications from permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir State for various administrative and technical positions. The vacancies are available at the university’s satellite campuses in Leh, Kargil, and Kupwara.

The advertised positions include Assistant Registrar, Professional Assistant, Technical Assistant, and Junior Assistant. According to the notice, the last date for submitting applications is February 25, 2015.

Details of the vacancies are as follows:

1. Assistant Registrar (Rs. 15600-39100, GP Rs. 5400):
   • Campuses: Leh (01), Kargil (01), Kupwara (01)
   • Qualifications: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade “B” in UGC 7-point scale, along with a good academic record.
2. Professional Assistant (Rs. 9300-34800, GP Rs. 4200):
   • Campuses: Leh (01), Kupwara (01)
   • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Library & Information Science (BLIS) with 55% marks or Master’s in Library & Information Science (MLIS) with 50% marks.
3. Technical Assistant (Rs. 5200-20200, GP Rs. 2800):
   • Campuses: Leh (01), Kargil (01), Kupwara (01)
   • Qualifications: Bachelor of Science with 55% marks and a one-year diploma in Computer Hardware from a recognized institution.
4. Junior Assistant (Rs. 5200-20200, GP Rs. 1900):
   • Campuses: Leh (02), Kupwara (02)
   • Qualifications: Graduation with at least 50% marks, typing speed of 35 words per minute, and a six-month certificate in computers from a recognized institute.
