JKSSB Document Verification for filling leftover Class-IV vacancies

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on Friday issued a notification, asking for Document Verification for filling the leftover Class-IV vacancies.

The notification asked for Document Verification of candidates for Class-IV posts under the Provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment Rules 2020) for filling up of leftover vacancies in its second phase.

“…It has been decided in the meetings that in terms of rule 6 (1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment Rules, 2020, the Board is required to shortlist the candidates in the ratio of 1:4 of the total advertised vacancies on the basis of aggregate marks. In terms of the aforesaid rules, as against
one vacancy in each cadre, four candidates are required to be shortlisted and after evaluating the merit cum preference the candidate has to be considered for that particular cadre only,” the notification quoted Ashok Kumar (JKAS), Controller of Examination, J&K Services Selection Board.

He added, “As such, I am directed to advise you to go ahead with the selection process qua the unfilled vacancies and shortlist the candidates in terms of the prescribed ratio under the rules. Further, the unique candidature procedure adopted by the Board needs to be dispensed with and the remaining vacancies may be filled according to the afore-said rule position.”

“Now, therefore, in the light of the advice furnished by the General Administration Department, it has been decided by the Board to proceed further in the matter and accordingly a list of 15223 candidates in the 2nd phase of document verification (Jammu/Kashmir based candidates) who are to be considered for filling up of leftover vacancies and issuance of the waiting list is hereby notified,” he further stated.

The document verification of the candidates figuring in ‘Annexure A‘ to the notification shall be held with effect from February 17, 2022. However, the detailed document verification schedule shall be notified separately.

Further, it is also notified that the Board if considered expedient, may call additional candidates wherever required, for filling all the advertised posts, subject to the conditions laid in the rules and opinion rendered by the General Administration Department.
