Srinagar, Feb 27: Claiming that Majlis Muthida Mashawrat (MMM) is actually the brain child of Hurriyat (G), Dukhterani Milat Chief, Asiya Andrabi Tuesday termed those news reports baseless in which a notion was given that no representative of Hurriyat (G) participated in the MMM meeting.
“MMM is the brain child of Hurriyat (G) as it was their initative to bring all the groups under one roof. So it is wrong to say that Hurriyat (G) representatives were not present in the meeting,” Asiya Andrabi told Srinagar based news agency CNS and added that not only Hurriyat (G), (M), JKLF and DeM representatives participated in the meeting but Jamat-i-Islami was also part of it.
Asiya Andrabi said MMM is the joint platform of all groups and even “Mirwaiz Omar Sahab and JKLP had sent their representatives to participate in the meeting.”
She said that people should know that this protest calendar was issued after proper deliberations and discussion by all the representatives of these organizations including Hurriyat (G). “How can people who participated in the MMM meeting, would have claimed that Hurriyat (G) representatives were also present? They claimed because Hurriyat (G) representatives were present during the meeting, so there arises no question that Hurriyat (G) was not taken into confidence. Those who claim that they were not consulted probably don’t know that MMM is the brainchild of Hurriyat (G) which aims at the unity of all factions,” Asiya Andrabi said.
