Samsung brings Galaxy Grand Prime with 5 MP front camera for Rs 15,499

New Delhi: Samsung has bolstered its presence in the mid-range segment, which was wobbling in the recent past with so many new competitors from the MNC, by launching the Galaxy Grand Prime. The new Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is priced at Rs 15,499 and thus would offer an alternative to prospective buyers who don’t want to buy the older Galaxy Grand or Grand 2.
The highlight of Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is its 5 megapixel front camera which has an 85-degree wide-angle lens and thus, as claimed, can capture more area than regular smartphone front cameras. In the rear, it has an 8 megapixel unit and an LED flash.
Other than that it does have a normal set of features expected from a phone priced at Rs 15,499. To start with, the Galaxy Grand Prime comes with a 5 inch display with qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution. It runs on a 1.2 GHz quad core processor with the help of 1 GB RAM. Like all other Samsung smartphones, it has the customised TouchWhiz UI on top of the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
The phone has 8 GB internal storage and a micro SD card slot for a 64 GB card. For connectivity, the Galaxy Grand Prime has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB 2.0. It has a 2,600 mAh battery that offers day-long battery life, as per Samsung. It has two SIM slots offering 3G and 2G connectivity too.
