A top Army commander on Friday said that killing of six militants, including a Lashkar-e-Toiba commander, in a gunfight with the forces in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district was a “surgical operation”.
GoC 15 Corps, A K Bhat said the operation was “prompt and precise”.
“It was a successful operation and Forces didn’t suffer any damage in the operation,” said Bhat while speaking to the media on the sidelines of a function organised on the occasion of Gurpurab Day at 46 RR camp in Baramulla.
When asked about the recent arrests of two women “over ground workers”, the Army commander said that the duo had been used by militants in the past. (GKNN)
