Hailstorm hits South Kashmir’s Shopian

Shopian: Hailstorm on Monday hit Shopian area of South Kashmir, with people expressing concern for possible damage to agricultural crops including apple.

The hailstorm lasted for about 25 minutes, causing damage in several villages of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Reports of hailstorm came from several villages of the district including the Shopian town as well.

“Government should assess the damages. Our agricultural production has been badly hit due to frequent hailstorms,” said a concerned farmer of a hailstorm-hit village of the district.
