BUDGAM — Despite a rapid rise in COVID-19 cases, people violated social distancing norms on the third day of Eid-ul-Azha and thronged tourist destination Yousmarg which falls in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Even though social distancing norms were flouted, the vendors and shopkeepers there were seen wearing masks as a precautionary measure. However, most people were seen without face masks as well.
The roads were also jammed because of the large number of vehicles queued up in the morning today.
Earlier, the J&K administration had ordered imposition of lockdown restrictions upto August 05 but on ground, the scenes witnessed at Yousmarg were contrary.
